These awards are given to recognize students who have performed outstanding community service in the Japanese American community or who have made personal sacrifices for others.
Academic achievement is not a consideration for these awards.
A. Description of Service
Be prepared to provide a brief description of community service/personal sacrifice.
B. Volunteer Hours Totaling 40 Hours
- Download Letters of Attestation to be filled out with your volunteer organization.
- Provide 1-2 Letters of Recommendation from an organizer of a volunteer program you’ve been apart of.

These awards are judged separately by an independent panel of judges.
